The first building in our 1950's Town is opening its doors early summer 2019. Experience the excitement and community spirit of the 1950's with our new welfare hall. The building is a replica of the Leasingthorne Colliery Welfare hall and Community Centre, now known as Coundon and Leeholme Community Centre. The exhibit will play host to 50s dances and games, and will explore the story of the birth of the NHS, among many other activities and events.
Opening celebrations will be taking place Sat 22nd & Sun 23rd June including procession, opening ceremony, musical performances and more..
