The Spanish Gallery is the UK's first gallery dedicated to the art, history and culture of Spain, celebrating Bishop Auckland's surprising connection with the Golden Age of Spanish Art.

This remarkable gallery is part of The Auckland Project's unique collection of heritage attractions, galleries and gardens, at the heart of the historic town of Bishop Auckland.

There are three different venue spaces available for hire at the Spanish Gallery, including The Auckland Project's tapas restaurant El Castillo next door.

Spanish Gallery Dining Room

The Spanish Gallery Dining Room is a sophisticated venue, tastefully decorated with contemporary Spanish artwork and overlooking the Market Place. It is the perfect space to host a Boardroom meeting or an evening meal.

Spanish Gallery Conference Room

A light, airy and adaptable space overlooking the Market Place, the Spanish Gallery Conference Room is ideal for small conferences, corporate meetings and events.

El Castillo Tapas Restaurant

A stylish Tapas Bar in the heart of Bishop Auckland’s Market Place, El Castillo provides the perfect backdrop for networking events and dinners.
