AboutOur talented, proven and experienced team continue in the tradition of all great grillrooms - choosing the best quality and freshest meats, seafoods and produce - all sourced locally whenever possible. Our restaurant has also been awarded 'Highest Quality Assured' status by TasteDurham.
Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or someone who enjoys trying new things, you will be sure that you can enjoy the very best of Britain’s regional cuisine and locally-sourced ingredients here at The Town House.
The five star restaurant has recently re-launched its Sunday lunch menu and serve locally sourced sirloin of beef with creamy horseradish sauce or leg of lamb, studded with rosemary, with all the trimmings from noon. The new menu has been created to complement the existing Townhouse menu whilst extending dining hours for Sunday Lunch from 12 noon to 3pm. Sirloin of beef, free-range chicken or leg of lamb are on the menu, with the daily menu also available.
It is a unique restaurant in a unique location which already offers quality food, much of which is already locally sourced offering customers a quality dining experience, providing a real sense of occasion when eating out, not just reproducing meals that can easily be cooked at home.
Our air-conditioned restaurant is dressed in romantic red and gold, with some little French twists along the way. Whether it's a light bite in the bar, or a gastronomic experience in the restaurant, our seasonal menu aims to delight your tastebuds.
