Durham Market Hall is a fine example of Victorian architecture housing around 45 local independent traders with an enviable range of fresh local produce from fish, poultry, cheese and meats to fruit, vegetables, baked goods and spices.
In addition, there’s a wide range of fashion and beauty, gift ideas, things for the home, hobbies and pastimes supplies and useful services.
Most of the traders are owners of the business so you get knowledgeable customer service, passionate banter about their products, great advice and excellent prices all in a fabulous atmosphere – come and experience shopping somewhere so different from soulless retail parks.
There is also a café bistro overlooking the Market Hall with free wi-fi for patrons.
For details of upcoming events including our regular Saturday Outdoor retail market, our monthly Farmers’ and Producers’ market, our monthly Full Moon Street Food Market together with more information on individual traders visit www.durhammarkets.co.uk
Through our volunteer group the Durham Pointers, we can offer a FREE meet and greet service to coaches arriving in Durham City between May and the end of September, from 10am – 2.30pm provided they are pre booked.
In addition, we supply a food voucher for the driver of the pre booked coach redeemable in Café Cenno in Durham Market Hall.
