If you've ever wanted to sleep under the starry sky but also like your home comforts then come to the yurt and make your dreams come true!
We now have three yurts available for overnight accommodation in the center of the North Pennines AONB. We are now taking bookings for overnight stays in our yurts for 2016. Lapwing is the large yurt and can accommodate up to a maximum of 15 people. Plover and Curlew are smaller yurts and each accommodates a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children. Hire charges are £100 per night for Lapwing and £50 per night for either Plover or Curlew.
All yurts have a wood burning stove, drinking water dispenser and Lapwing has electricity. Firewood is included in the charges.
On arrival visitors will need to collect keys from the museum reception between 16:00 and 16:30 at the latest and vacate the yurts by 10:30 the following morning.
The yurts can also be booked for the day between 10:30 and 16:00 at a charge of £50 per yurt. We welcome bookings for overnight stays, meetings, birthday parties and other occasions.50% deposit required at time of all bookings.
Café facilities are available at the museum 10:30-17:00 every day throughout the season or earlier by prior arrangement with the Café. Above yurt charges do not include admission to the museum.
