The 182nd Durham Regatta will take place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June 2015.
The Regatta is held on the River Wear and its riverbanks in historic Durham City. Stunning views of the City, the Castle and of course the Cathedral provide a constant backdrop for spectators, visitors and competitors.
A wide variety of stalls, catering for all sorts of tastes in food and refreshment, entertainment ranging from music from local brass bands to the Classic Car rally mean that in addition to watching the best of rowing in the North-East there is always plenty for spectators to do.
The origins of Durham Regatta are closely tied with the commemorations to honour the 'glorious victory' at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. This year to celebrate the bi-centenary of the Battle a number of special activities are being planned.
