Northern Rocks - The North Pennines Festival of Geology and Landscape, running between 22 May and 6 June 2010, is the sixth annual Northern Rocks Festival.

Northern Rocks celebrates the world-class geological heritage and landscape of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and UNESCO European Geopark, and is part of European Geoparks Week. The two weeks are full of over 30 events and activities to help you discover the geological secrets of the North Pennines. Join a guided walk, sign up for a geological short break, have a go at rock climbing, explore old lead mines with expert guides, try your hand at craft activities and attend exhibitions and children's events!
