Located in the village of Framwellgate Moor, 1.75 miles from the historic cathedral city of Durham, this charming mid-terraced, extended property has been lovingly renovated throughout to provide deceptively spacious, high quality accommodation on 1 level. (A small cottage frontage holds a "Tardis" inside, some 18 metres in length!) An attractive enclosed rear courtyard, catching all day sun, provides seating areas and parking for 1 car.

Comfortably furnished and thoughtfully equipped, Thimble Cottage is an excellent base from which to explore Durham and Northumberland. There are numerous walks and cycle routes in this lovely area. Beamish Museum, Gateshead MetroCentre and unspoilt sandy beaches are 30 minutes drive away. Arnison Shopping Centre 0.25 of a mile, Dunelm Ridge pub and restaurant 0.5 mile.

All on ground floor level, lounge with beams, dining/kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin (2'6" beds - suitable for children or smaller adults and beds can easily be moved together). Bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and wash basin.

Gas-fired central heating throughout. All fuel, power and bed linen ( for duvets) included in the price. Gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, washer, microwave, video, stereo/CD.

Sorry pets not accepted. Smoking not permitted inside the cottage.

Leave at Jct 62. Follow A690 to Durham City and straight over 2 roundabouts. Proceed over bridge and turn right at next roundabout A691. Proceed over next 2 roundabouts, turning right at next mini roundabout (Salutation Inn) and follow Finchale Road for 0.75 mile to 2nd row of white single-storey Old Pit Terrace Cottages. Number 14 on left next to little red pillar box on pole.

From Durham City Railway Station
Use taxi rank or bus station, 10 minutes walk down station bank. Turn left at bottom, cross at roundabout. Bus stop for Arnison Centre is opposite North Road Bus Station. Nos 63 and 64. Ask for Abbey Sports Centre bus stop. Head left towards Old Pit Terrace, passing car showrooms on right. Walk down hill and up hill. Number 14 over top of hill next to little red pillar box on pole.
