Lazy Dayz Plant Nursery

Lazy Dayz is a quirky plant nursery and coffee shop set within 32 acres of Durham’s beautiful countryside, yet just half a mile away in all directions from major towns and villages.
The coffee shop creates homemade cakes, scones, soups and naughty treats on a daily basis and serves wholesome simple foods at very reasonable prices. Produce is mostly local meat from Pipers butchers, eggs from Linz Hall Farm, milk from Acorn Dairy, confectionary from Sweet Sally Cinnamon and a range of old fashioned Fentimans drinks. Customers can choose to sit outside in the securely fenced off acre of lawn, in the comfy snug, the farmhouse style family room or in the light and airy dining room.
During our usual open hours the family room can be hired out for events or meetings and the whole place can be used out of hours for larger occasions. We can cater as well.
We welcome visits by groups and can arrange guided tours of the nursery, giving advice and answering questions on plants and gardening. The nursery specialises in hardy perennials that will grow and come back every year even in our harsh northern climate. We have a good supply of herbs, shrubs, alpines and fruit as well as seasonal bedding plants. All of our stock is grown here on the Misty Blu Farm site, simply because we love splitting, taking cuttings and growing the plants on.
Misty Blu Farm specialises in horse livery, holding several show jumping and dressage events throughout the year. There are also top of the range dog and car (and small animals) kennels.
