Mini Moos farm in Edmondsley, Co Durham, recently re-opened its doors to its fantastic farm park with a difference. Mini Moos is home to a wide range of miniature animals including miniature cows, goats and horses as well as Stinson the miniature donkey – who arrived at Mini Moos all the way from Texas! New to the stable for 2011 is a micro-pig and a range of miniature birds of prey – the Little Hooots!

The farm, situated at Holmside Park has a unique offering. With over 50,000 square feet of inside space it is possible to fit all of the animals and some of the outside rides inside, ensuring that if the weather is bad there is still lots to see and do. The inside space also offers soft play and a café.

All of the animals at Mini Moos have their own personalities, it is home to Dottie the miniature cow, she is the leader of the herd and has been at Mini Moos farm since it opened in 2010. Also on site are a range of full size animals including reindeer, pigs, donkeys and a wide range of rabbits. Shows are put on daily including an animal show, a Little Hooots show and a rabbit show – where you can get up close and meet the animals. All the shows are performed in The Baaarn and appeal to all ages, and carry on whatever the weather.

An ideal day out with the family, there is adventure play area as well as an inflatable assault course, football pitch, go karts, mini tractors, trampolines and even the opportunity to go zorbing! Or for those who want a more leisurely afternoon you can take a stroll through the riverside walk. Mini Moos has an 80 acre wood and ample picnic space, providing a great day out for adults and little ones alike.

Mini Moos is open 7 days a week from 10am – 5pm and entry price is £6.95 with under 2’s going free.
