Autumn Days Out Go Further with Durham Deals

Visit County Durham has teamed up with tourism businesses right across the county to provide visitors with many ways to save money this autumn.
Durham Deals is a must-use online promotion for any visitor wanting to make the most of a fantastic range of discounts available right across Durham. The promotion will help visitors enjoy great value days out this autumn, by downloading vouchers to use at over 75 tourism outlets across the county, including leading attractions, restaurants, hotels and B&Bs.
The downloadable vouchers are available on the www.thisisdurham.com/deals website, and offer great-value savings for fun days out, meals and shopping experiences throughout the autumn at more than 20 attractions, 30 accommodation providers and 20 restaurants.
Special offers include two-for-one entry to visitor attractions such as Beamish Wild. Nearly 20,000 vouchers were downloaded in 2010.
“Durham Deals are excellent and easy for both the business and visitors to use. They can be downloaded, used the same day, and are an ideal opportunity to share the magical experience of visiting Durham with partners, friends and family,” said Alex Tocu, site manager, Beamish Wild.

There will also be many short break offers this autumn to tempt festival goers to make the most of Lumiere - the UK’s largest light festival – when it returns to Durham next month. The dedicated festival pages on www.thisisdurham.com/lumierefeature carefully created Lumiere deals, Culture Vulture itineraries and Festival Top Tips plus twitter and flickr feeds, as well as a link to the Lumiere website to ensure visitors have all the information they need to enjoy a short break in Durham and take in the fantastic festival.
