Walter Willcox Blue Badge Guiding

I can offer guiding services in North East England on coaches or on foot, in English. This includes guiding of historic sites, churches, museums, art galleries and walking tours in all the main towns and cities of the area. I have a degree in Modern and Medieval History, am a retired university lecturer in History and am currently a part time tutor in general arts subjects at the Open University. I have a particular interest in all aspects of the history of the area including Border warfare, battle sites, the Roman wall, ecclesiastical history, lead and coal mining and railway history. I have lived in the North East since 1969, worked in Newcastle and have a close personal knowledge of the North Pennines, Roman Wall and Hexham areas.
