Our comfortable 36-seater restaurant offers a wide range of home-made food ranging from griddled steaks and grills, chicken and fish to pizzas and pasta. We also have a frequently changing 'specials' board, offering a range of our tempting speciality dishes, plus some great value meal deals. All our meat is prepared by the finest butchers from a top quality local supplier.

The owner James cooks all food to perfection and is frequently complimented on his delicious, juicy steaks, all served with real home-made chunky chips, onion rings, mushrooms and salad. Also described as having 'the best pizzas in Durham' by our regulars, our pizzas are made with home-made dough, thin and crispy based, using fresh ingredients and baked in an authentic stone-based pizza oven.

On Sundays we serve a traditional Sunday lunch with a choice of 3 roasts, home-made Yorkshire pudding, 3 vegetables, roast and mashed potatoes and real gravy! We are regularly fully booked as our menu offers such great value for money - 3 courses plus a glass of wine/soft drink for only £7.95! Children under 12 only £3.95!
