Travel Directions

Type: Garden

Eggleston Hall Gardens has an atmosphere of its own, like no other place, unhurried, peaceful, and relaxing. A nursery garden that harks back to the Victorian age of plant collectors and quality nurseries where plants were everything and knick knacks things one bought in a shop. This is a plantsman’s garden par excellence, it is a secret garden for garden and plant lovers everywhere, a hidden gem.

There are 4 acres of gardens and over half an acre of container grown plants at Eggleston Hall Gardens. Winding paths, old churchyard, moorland stream, stunning views, working potting shed, bee hives, pottager garden, A-Z apple walk and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere create a unique charm.

We also have our own Trials Garden and Nursery at Plantsman's Corner in Barningham, only 12 miles from Eggleston Hall Gardens which we use for trials and experimentation, along with propagation and pruning methods. Entry is free but is restricted to only the first and third Sundays in the month from April to October. For more information, see www.plantsmanscorner.co.uk.
