Woodcroft Farm Holiday Cottage offers the perfect place for both couples and families to unwind in beautiful Weardale in the Durham Dales. It enjoys stunning views over moorland from its private position on a traditional working livestock farm, farmed by the Peart family since 1947. Tastefully renovated to provide light and spacious accommodation for 4, all accommodation is on one floor with no steps and wide internal doors.

We have cattle, sheep, pigs and horses, along with pheasant, partridge, lapwing and grouse, not to mention the duck, brown trout, salmon, and hairy gob down at the river. We have private fishing and are also a perfect base for walkers and cyclists. The North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offers spectacular walks including the Weardale Way which passes through our farm and the Pennine Way is within easy reach. We are also only a short drive from historic Durham City and within easy driving distance of the North York Moors, the Northumberland Coast and the Lake District.

Weekly lets are Friday to Friday. 3 night weekend breaks (Friday to Sunday nights) and 4 night midweek breaks (Monday to Thursday nights) also available. Hot meals can be arranged on arrival (at extra charge) – please enquire when booking.
