Whitfield House Cottage is early 18thC and is officially listed as a building of 'special architectural and historic interest'. The cottage is spacious, sleeps 7 and is full of character.
Wolsingham is a small town situated in the lower part of Weardale in the designated North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is ideally located for exploring the North Pennines and the North East of England. The following National Parks are all within 1 hour's drive - The North Yorkshire Moors, The Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland National Park. Durham City, with its World Heritage Site cathedral and castle, is only 25 minutes drive away.
The cottage is centrally located in a designated Conservation Area and is convenient for the town's facilities but is still only 3 minutes walk from the surrounding countryside, which is ideal for walking.
