Horsley Hall is an elegant 3-storey country manor-house dating back to the 17thC. Built as a shooting lodge for the Prince Bishops and owned by the Hildyard family who were prominent in the Dales for 500 years. The manor-house is situated in beautiful gardens and woodland in picturesque Weardale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

A warm northerly welcome and attentive service await you. The hotel has a reputation for homely comforts and good food and wine. Liz prepares and cooks all the meals for the frequently changed a la carte menu using fresh local and home-grown seasonal produce.

The stylish décor and frequently lit open fire add atmosphere to the lounge and Baronial Hall dining-room. The newly refurbished en suite bedrooms offer elegant luxury.

An ideal base for visiting Hadrian's Wall, Newcastle's Quayside, Durham City, Beamish Museum, Killhope Wheel, Weardale Museum, Weardale Railway, Locomotion, the National Railway Museum at Shildon and Hamsterley Forest. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are also within travelling distance.
