The family-run site is pleasantly situated on a traditional working farm in peaceful, sheltered parkland with views of the surrounding dale and moorland. The park has easy access and level, spacious pitches with hook-ups and hard-standing. There are modern shower blocks and laundry, washing-up and disabled facilities.
Cotherstone village is a 10 minute walk away and offers a local shop and village pubs serving good food. Visitors can enjoy many varied walks from the site and the Teesdale and Pennine Ways are close by. Balder Banks Nature Reserve, part of the farm, adjoins the site and is home to a variety of wildlife. Guests can enjoy private river fishing on our own water or fish on the local reservoirs.
Teesdale offers a wealth of history and outstanding scenery and centres around the market town of Barnard Castle. Durham City with its historic castle and cathedral is a 45 minute drive and the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales just an hour away.
The site lies between the pretty villages of Cotherstone and Romaldkirk, within easy reach of the Upper Dale with the impressive High Force Waterfall, and offers an ideal base for a holiday in the North of England.
