This stone lead miner's cottage high in the Pennine hills is our own family holiday cottage. There are wonderful moorland views and walks from the cottage into the beautiful countryside in every direction.
The living/dining room is cosy with log stove. It includes: a sofa bed for occasional guests, ample comfortable seats, phone and sky freeview television, music centre and radio. The kitchen is newly decorated and includes a full range of pine units, plenty of equipment including a washer/dryer, microwave, freezer and food processor. The bathroom has a shaver point and over bath shower.
The 2 newly decorated bedrooms (double and twin) have new firm mattresses, duvets, pillows and electric blankets. Linen and towels are provided. There is a child's bed or cot available.
Places to visit locally include Blanchland Abbey and village, Killhope and Nenthead museums, Weardale Museum and swimming pools (Weardale and Hexham), as well as rivers to fish, reservoir to sail and mining relics to explore.
