Balkcote Holiday Cottages

Situated in the picturesque village of Romaldkirk, Balkcote is a barn conversion consisting of 2 properties, Balkcote and Henberry, in a peaceful setting with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. It is ideally placed for walking (the Teesdale Way passes the site) and for visiting places of historical and cultural interest in nearby Barnard Castle.

Balkcote is situated on the ground floor wing of a stone-built detached barn. Sleeping 2 it consists of a cosy open-plan sitting room, kitchen and dining area with patio doors to the spacious garden and a double bedroom with en suite bathroom.

Henberry is situated on the upper wing of the barn. The open plan accommodation consists of a kitchen, dining and sitting area. There is an en suite bathroom off the double bedroom. Please note that this cottage is accessed by an external stone staircase.

Balkcote and Henberry may be booked together to accommodate 4 people. Guests of both cottages have use of the orchard garden with spectacular views over the Teesdale countryside. Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided.
